Tim Tebow comments on Colorado Buffaloes and Deion Sanders, Their Impact on College Football

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders made the ‘Prime Time Shuffle’ famous during his playing days. His son — Shedeur Sanders — did his best impersonation of the celebration after scoring last weekend against Nebraska.

It’s safe to say Coach Prime wasn’t impressed with the attempt.

Deion Sanders said on Big Noon Kickoff on Saturday that he moved Shedeur Sanders down his list of favorite kids following the dance attempt.

“That was ugly. That was horrible. It took him down,” Deion Sanders said. “My daughters are the only ones that can dance in the family. The rest of us can’t dance.”

You can see the attempt by Shedeur Sanders below:

Deion Sanders went on to break down Shedeur Sanders’ ‘Primetime Shuffle’ and just what went wrong.

“Shedeur… watch the stiffness of it. He didn’t kick the legs up. He had no pause at the end,” Deion Sanders said. “Like he’s better than that. I told him, ‘You’re better than that, son.’”

Sanders has received some criticism for rankings his kids, but he doesn’t mind it. He believes that everyone ranks their kids, it’s just that he’s not afraid to admit it.

“Out of those kids, I know when I get older, I know who’s going to try to take me to the nursing home,” Deion Sanders said. “I know who’s going to feed me, who’s going to look out for me. And I know who’s going to ask for their trust fund right away. I already know that. … I just take it to another level. I rank them.”

Deion Sanders sees himself in all three of his sons

The personality of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has been known to the nation for decades. But for those who are just being introduced to his kids, they might find themselves seeing parts of Deion in them.

That’s not surprising, and Sanders said as much on on ESPN’s First Take when he noted he sees parts of himself in all three of his sons.

“Different aspects,” Sanders said. “All my sons have different intangibles. Shilo’s me to a certain level. Junior’s me to a certain level and Shedeur is that. Shedeur may be more of me because he’s spent the most time with me. He’s always lived with me. He’s always been there with me. All my kids, I’ve coached all the way up but I’m the only coach he’s ever known. He hadn’t known another coach. So me being out in Jackson when I went through situations with my foot and having surgery, missing four games, that was the first time in his life that he ever played a game without me, and that was tremendous for him.”
