Atlanta (Ga.) Pace Academy four-star linebacker Jordan Burns received an offer from Duke on Thursday night. He announced the news over social media.

Burns is not ranked in the 2024 On3 Consensus. However, On3 rates Burns higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, Burns is the No. 258 overall prospect, No. 27 linebacker and No. 33 player in Georgia.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound prospect has received 10 offers. He recently spoke with On3’s Jeremy Johnson about his recruitment.

“The recruiting process is going well for me right now,” Burns told Johnson. “I’m just trusting the process.”

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race for Burns’ commitment. Georgia Tech is in the lead at 47.3%, while Tennessee is close behind at 41.4%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Burns took unofficial visits to the Yellow Jackets and Volunteers in October. He talked with Johnson about his interest in Josh Heupel‘s program.

“I’ve always looked at Tennessee,” Burns said. “Tennessee has been a great school.”

Duke’s 2024 recruiting class currently contains two commitments. They are Towson (Md.) Loyola Blakefield athlete Jayden Moore and Trenton (N.J.) The Lawrenceville School athlete Austin Stull.

Additionally, the Blue Devils’ 2023 recruiting class ranks No. 47 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 10 in the ACC. Pfafftown (N.C.) Reagan three-star EDGE Semaj Turner is the highest-ranked member of Duke’s class as the No. 608 overall prospect in the 2023 On3 Consensus.

Burns has an On3 NIL Valuation of $13K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
