Saturday’s game between Duke and North Carolina is obviously a big one for a number of reasons. There are major NCAA Tournament implications on the line, and Saturday will serve as Mike Krzyzewski’s final game inside Cameron Indoor Stadium as Duke’s head coach. Seeing Krzyzewski’s last game has become a priority for many, which has resulted in a spike in ticket prices for Saturday’s game between Duke and UNC.

On Saturday’s College GameDay, the crew discussed just how expensive tickets for Duke-UNC are for Saturday’s regular season finale. According to GameDay, Saturday’s game is the most in-demand college basketball game since 2010. Just to get in, it will cost you over $5,000.

“Because of the size of this building, 9,314 seats, this is making this one of the most difficult tickets ever,” ESPN’s Holly Rowe said. “Add that this is Coach K’s last game, we have seen prices of sold tickets on Vivid, a marketplace, for $22,000. We’ve seen them on Stubhub for $99,000.”

Those ticket prices are substantial, but Saturday is going to be a historic night in Durham. Krzyzewski is one of, if not the, greatest coaches in the history of college basketball. And Saturday will be the final home game of his storied coaching career.

Students might be paying the biggest price to get a ticket for Duke-UNC in Krzyzewski’s final game

While general tickets are obviously hard to come by, and expensive if you do find one, they still might not have cost as much as Duke students paid for Saturday’s game against UNC. Students have been camping out for over six weeks, just to get a chance at a ticket. The Cameron Crazies are well-known for their dedication inside Cameron Indoor, and that will undoubtedly be on display Saturday night after their journey to get inside the arena.

“But I personally think that the highest price paid for any ticket in this building tonight is for the Cameron Crazies in Krzyzewski-ville,” Rowe added. “They have been camping out since January 23rd – six weeks of camping – to be in this building tonight and they had to take written tests. I want to shout out these students because they paid the highest price of anyone in this building. But I know this: If you’re going to be in here tonight, it’s going to be priceless.”
