The Duke men’s basketball team entered their homecourt in style on Friday night.

As we get set for the tipoff to the college basketball season, the Blue Devils are giving their fans a preview of the season with their annual Blue vs. White scrimmage. To get their fans hyped for the scrimmage this is how they stepped onto the floor.

A Legends farewell

This upcoming season for the Blue Devils will be known as the swan song for their legendary head coach Mike Krzyzewski, and rightfully so. Krzyzewski has led Duke to 12 Final Four appearances and five national titles in his 40 years running the team. He also has a career record of 1097 wins and 302 losses with the Blue Devils. And this year he has a chance to make it over 1100 wins with Duke.

Duke looking to bounce back

Duke looks to turn things around from arguably the worst season since 1995 a year ago. Last season the team went 13-11 and 9-9 in ACC play. It was the first time since that disastrous aforementioned mentioned ’95 season in which a Krzyzewski lead team failed to make the NCAA Tournament.

This year’s Blue Devils team will operate differently than in recent years. This year they will utilize more upperclassmen than usual. But look for freshman center Mark Williams and guard Jeremy Roach to contribute this year.

If Duke can have a strong start to the season, they can help their coach go out in style capturing his sixth NCAA title. This video is definitely one to get the Cameron Crazies and blue bloods ready for the season.
