Fairburn (Ga.) Creekside three-star defensive lineman Michai Boireau has committed to Florida. He chose the Gators for the second time on Saturday after decommitting from the SEC program back in September.

Boireau is the No. 743 overall prospect and No. 71 DL in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 87 player in the Peach State.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank my family, Coaches, and teammates for supporting me through this process. I would like to say thank you to all the schools that have given me an opportunity and believed in me. Also, I would like to thank the most high for giving me to ability to play this sport. After talking to my family and loved ones and lots of consideration, I will be committing to the University of Florida,” Boireau wrote.

He does not currently have an On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Boireau re-joins Top-5 Florida recruiting class

With Boireau back on board in Gainesville, Billy Napier’s pledge list now contains 20 commits and ranks 4th in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Boireau makes four defensive linemen committed to the Gators this cycle. Headlining the quartet is Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland five-star LJ McCray, the No. 27 prospect and No. 4 DL in the cycle. He’s joined by Clinton (N.C.) four-star Amaris Williams, Gainesville (Fla.) F.W. Buchholz four-star Kendall Jackson and now Boireau.

McCray is one of three five-stars in the fold, alongside Willis (Texas) quarterback DJ Lagway and McKinney (Texas) safety Xavier Filsaime. All three are top-30 prospects, while Lagway headlines as the No. 15 recruit and No. 3 QB.

In total, there are seven top-100 prospects in the UF class. Behind the aforementioned five-stars is the elite linebacker duo of Gainesville (Fla.) F.W. Buchholz four-star Myles Graham and Largo (Fla.) four-star Adarius Hayes. Other top commits include: Portal (Ga.) four-star tight end Amir Jackson, Olney (Md.) Good Counsel four-star LB Aaron Chiles and Leesburg (Va.) Tuscarora four-star offensive tackle Fletcher Westphal.
