Decatur (Ga.) Columbia four-star running back Jadan Baugh has committed to Florida, he tells On3.

Baugh was pledged to Arkansas from May until earlier this month, but the Gators got Baugh on campus for an unofficial visit in November, as well as an official visit in December and have now flipped the 6-foot-1, 215-pounder.

“I committed to Florida because of the relationship they have built with me and my family,” Baugh told On3.

Running backs coach Jabar Juluke played a big role in Baugh’s decision.

“Me and Coach Juluke’s relationship has gotten stronger every time we’ve talked. He is a great coach, but he’s also a great person outside of football. He’s always going to be himself regardless of the matter.

“I can see myself being very successful [under him] and he believes I can as well.”

The new gator feels good about the head coach as well.

“Coach Billy Napier is great. He’s always made me feel that I have a home at Florida and he’s always told me the truth. Having the chance to play for him is a dream come true.”

The decision was very tough for Baugh. Alabama was a strong contender and he felt good about Arkansas. He is ready to get down to the Swamp.

“This had its ups and downs because we’re talking about my future,” Baugh said. Anything that has to do with my future is a tough decision, but with Florida, it’s the relationship and the vision they have for the future. I want to be a part of that.”

Baugh is the No. 355 overall prospect and No. 26 RB in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 39 player in Georgia.
