Florida LB Scooby Williams plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal
Florida linebacker Scooby Williams plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Williams spent three years with the Gators, making 25 total appearances and 10 starts. All 10 of Williams’ starts came in the 2023 campaign. The redshirt sophomore finished this season third on the team in tackles with 53 (27 solo), second in quarterback hurries (5) and tied for team-best in forced fumbles (2) while tallying 4.0 tackles-for-loss and a sack.
In 2022, Williams played in nine games, tallying 14 tackles. In his true freshman season, Williams only played in four games before opting to use his redshirt. Standing at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, Williams boasts a professional frame.
Birmingham played high school football at Ramsay (AL), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 84 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
