Glen Burnie (Md.) Good Counsel four-star athlete Neeo Avery has picked up an offer from Florida.

The On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — has Avery as the No. 213 overall recruit in the class.

He is the fifth-ranked player from the state of Maryland after Fort Washington (Md.) DeMatha Catholic four-star defensive lineman Jason Moore, Baltimore St. Frances Academy four-star EDGE Dashawn Womack, Olney (Md.) Good Counsel four-star EDGE Dylan Gooden and Upper Marlboro (Md.) Charles Herbert Flowers four-star EDGE Desmond Umeozulu.

Avery currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $16.8k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

He was previously committed to Penn State before decommitting from the school in late March.

“This was a really tough decision,” Avery said. “Me and my mom, we really sat down and thought about it, talked about it, for a long time. It wasn’t easy because Penn State has treated me like family, even stuck with me through my injury. I really appreciated that.”

The Gators has two verbal commits in the 2023 cycle in Sharpsburg (Ga.) Trinity Christian School four-star athlete Aaron Gates and Eustis (Fla.) three-star wide receiver Tyree Patterson.
