Montgomery (Ala.) Carver five-star EDGE Qua Russaw is taking an official visit to Florida this weekend. Part of his trip involves attending the Gators’ game against LSU.

Russaw was photographed at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium prior to kickoff. He is currently on his second visit to Gainesville and first since July 29.

“First I like the coaches, talking to coach (Mike) Peterson, he has expressed that they have a great spot over there for me and he wants to develop me and get my game where it needs to be,” Russaw told On3’s Chad Simmons about Florida in July. “I haven’t talked with coach (Billy) Napier yet but I’m looking forward to getting a chance to talk with him to learn more about the Florida way.”

Russaw is the No. 21 overall prospect and No. 3 EDGE in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Alabama

A 6-foot-2, 235 pound prospect, Russaw has an On3 NIL Valuation of $226K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Qua Russaw On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Qua Russaw:

“Qua Russaw is an elite complement off the edge to interior DLJames Smith on the Montgomery (Ala.) Carver DL. The five-star EDGE is instinctive and takes direct paths to the ball from all over the second level of Carver’s defense. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound Russaw was forced to fight off double-teams from a talented Catholic offensive line, but found ways to beat blocks, seal off running lanes to the outside and also close in on rushes up the middle. Russaw was equally as dynamic as a pass rusher, popping opposing QB Daniel Beale and demonstrating that speed and quickness around the corner to collapse the pocket in a hurry.”
