Former Florida star tight end Kemore Gamble has announced his transfer destination. According to Gamble himself, the tight end will be suiting up for UCF in 2022.

“Super Gremlin,” Gamble posted, captioning the photos of him rocking the Knights uniforms.

Last season, Gamble had his best season with Florida — amassing 31 receptions for 414 yards and four touchdowns. Additionally, Gamble emerged as a key part of the Florida passing game — ranking third on the team in receiving production. After appearing in 20 games for the Gators, Gamble’s career numbers are 48 receptions for 632 yards and seven touchdowns.

Instead of going to the 2022 NFL Draft, Gamble opted to enter the transfer portal. He’s taking advantage of the final opportunity he has to up his stock.

While Gamble is happy with his decision, Florida faithful is bound to be disappointed in his decision. When the news broke that Gamble was leaving the program, the reaction was negative from Gators fans — leading to the tight end to call them out on social media.

“Mind y’all business. Y’all are grown man trying to bash me,” stated Gamble via his Twitter account. “Like get off y’all couch and do something that’s positive. I know if y’all see me in person, you will not say it to my face. So cut all that out. #Respectfully.”

In his Florida career, Gamble was a reliable target whenever he saw the field. Now, he’ll attempt to fly even higher as he joins UCF for the 2022 season.

More on Kemore Gamble, UCF Knights

Moreover, Kemore Gamble isn’t the only SEC star to join UCF. Earlier, former Ole Miss quarterback and wide receiver John Rhys Plumlee has announced he was transferring to the program.

Plumlee began his career at Ole Miss as a quarterback, throwing for 910 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions in 2019, also adding over 1,000 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. He only attempted eight passes in the past two seasons, though, after transitioning to wide receiver. This season, he caught 19 passes for 201 yards, and he had six catches for 79 yards last season.

Plumlee brings a lot of versatility to UCF, as he also played on the Ole Miss baseball team. He made 47 appearances on the diamond for Ole Miss last season, starting 18 games in the outfield and hitting .267 with 21 runs, four doubles, one home run and seven runs batted in.

According to Ole Miss Spirit’s Ben Garrett, Plumlee was being recruited by UCF as a quarterback, with the ability to continue playing baseball as well.

Now at UCF, Plumlee and Gamble could rejuvenate an offense run by former Auburn coach Gus Malzahn. It’s an SEC takeover for the Knights — one they’re hoping provides an uptick in wins.
