Amier Ali, a four-star small forward in the 2024 class, will take an official visit to Florida State on February 27th. This marks his first official visit.

The 6-foot-8, 180-pound junior playing at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy has taken unofficial visits to Texas and Ohio State. He also holds offers from Kansas, Memphis, Alabama, UCLA, Oregon, and others. Find his full list of offers here.

Ali ranks as the No. 32 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus — the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies (ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals, On3). On3’s evaluators are slightly higher on him, ranking him 30th overall in the class.

Ali talks his game

In a previous interview with On3, Ali broke down his game.

“I would say my strengths are facilitating and shooting is my big one,” he says. “I like getting downhill, getting my teammates involved, and also shooting the ball like catch and shoot is one of my main things and I’ve been striving to get better at it.”

While Ali wants to add muscle to his frame, he also wants to focus on improving his defensive ability.

“Defense,” Ali said when asked what other improvements he wants to make. “I’m getting better at defense but I’m looking to improve that area.”
