Class of 2025 quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. of Jacksonville (FL) Mandarin High announced his commitment to Florida State Saturday afternoon.

The 6-foot-1, 190 pounder chose the Seminoles over Florida, Miami, Pitt, and Virginia Tech.

Jones on why he chose Florida State

What ultimately stood out to me about FSU were the games,” Jones said. “They were exciting, the fans were crazy and I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the Doak Campbell Stadium. Then the ability to develop quarterbacks and turn a quarterback into a Heisman Trophy contender for next season really stood out to me. The relationship that I have created with the staff is not like any other. I know Coach Norvell is creating something special in Tallahassee and I want to be a part of it.”

Relationship with coaching staff stood out

I have a great relationship with the coaching. The whole coaching staff always welcomes me when I’m on campus but the person I have the closest relationship with is coach Tokarz and coach Norvell. Their plan for me is to be the face of FSU and to make the best play and person. I want to be the best to ever come out of FSU.”

“It’s great…FSU has had great quarterbacks come through. Charlie Ward, Jameis Winston, and Jordan Travis just to name a few. But, I want to be better than them and I think coach Tokarz and coach Norvell can push me to be that.”

The Sunshine State quarterback joins coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles’ 2025 class. He is accompanied by four-star wide receiver DL Hardison.

Tramell Jones currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $7.9K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
