Primo Spears is now in the transfer portal for the third time in his career after also previously playing at Duquesne and Georgetown.

Prior to starting his college career, Spears attended Windsor High School. He averaged 20 points, 10 assists and 4 steals, before attending Mt. Zion Prep for a year. He averaged 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during his one season with Mt. Zion.

From there, Primo Spears went to Duquesne, leading the Dukes in scoring with an average of 12.7 points per game. He started 28 of 30 games that season.

Spears then transferred to Georgetown for the 2022-23 season. He led the Hoyas in scoring that season, finishing with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.

Primo Spears then entered the transfer portal once again, this time choosing to play for Leonard Hamilton and Florida State. He helped the Seminoles to a 17-16 (10-10) record.

Florida State big man De’Ante Green plans to enter transfer portal

Primo Spears isn’t the only Florida State player leaving the program.

On3’s Joe Tipton broke news on Friday that FSU big man De’Ante Green is planning to enter the transfer portal.

Green appeared in 31 games this past season, making 20 starts. He averaged 4.5 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.

Green attended Asheville Christian Academy in North Carolina. He was ranked as the No. 30 power forward and the No. 175 overall player in the country in the class of 2022, according to the On3 Industry rankings.

Green also contributed for Florida State as a freshman in 2022-23. That season, he averaged 1.5 points and 1 rebound per game, while appearing in 24 contests. A big task for Leonard Hamilton this offseason is rebuilding the Seminoles roster. Florida State needs to get better on both sides of the ball if it wants to return to the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25.

Florida State last made the NCAA Tournament in 2021.
