Four-star cornerback Jamari Howard of Miami (FL) Northland High announced his commitment to Florida State Friday morning.

The 6-foot-2, 175 pounder chose the Seminoles over Florida, Michigan State, and others.

“They make it feel like it’s home,” Howard said. “ I love the fans, how their coaching staff is, and how they treat the players.”

The Sunshine State cornerback joins coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles’ top 5 2024 class. He is accompanied by five-star safety KJ Bolden, five-star defensive lineman Armondo Blount, and others.

Scouting Summary

On3’s Scouting and Rankings Team writes about him as a college recruit:

“Long and rangy two-way player who turns whatever side of the field he is on into an island when playing corner. Measures in at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds with a freakish 6-foot-8 wingspan. Ran a 22.80 200m as well as a blistering 49.71 400m during his sophomore track and field season. Uses his length to manhandle receivers off the line of scrimmage. Has the recovery speed to get back in phase with receivers to make a play on the ball. Will naturally fill out his frame as he physically develops.”
