Jammie Robinson of the Florida State Seminoles has a huge decision to make about his future in the program. Robinson is just one of a handful of players for the Seminoles who are draft eligible and have yet to decide whether to turn pro. Well, during a recent press conference, he addressed his looming decision on his future at Florida State. Robinson also revealed his mindset as they prepare for their Cheez-Itz Bowl matchup against Oklahoma.

“Nah. Honestly, I’ve been just football minded,” said Robinson when asked about whether he’s thought about deciding to enter the draft. “Like I’m here; I’m with my brothers right now. Because I know when it’s over with, it’s going to be over with, and I’m going to miss it. So, right now, I ain’t going to try and miss it. I’m going to cherish every moment that I got with my brothers and just day by day with it. That’s what type of guy I am.

“Once the game is over with, then I’ll be answering phone calls and seeing what it is. But, right now, I’m here, just ready to get this tenth win. It’s only been 24 10-win seasons; we’re trying to make it 25. That’s what we’re focused on. We already won the state. Now it’s time to win a bowl game and see what’s next.”

Florida State has had an impressive turnaround season, from 5-7 last year to 9-3 in 2022. That is thanks to their improved play on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. And Robinson’s play at safety has not gone unnoticed, especially and the eyes of draft experts like ESPN’s Mel Kiper, Todd McShay, and Jordan Reid. Kiper has Robinson as the seventh-best safety prospect of the 2023 NFL draft. In contrast, McShay and Reid have him as the fifth best.

Jared Verse addresses his future with Florida State football

Jared Verse is arguably the top talent coming out of Florida State this year should he enter into the 2023 NFL draft. But Verse has not made a decision on whether or not he will take his talents to the next level or have one more go at it with the Seminoles. As Florida State prepares for their matchup against Oklahoma in the Cheez-Its Bowl, the Seminoles’ star defensive end addressed his future with the team and revealed his timeline for his decision.

“No, not at all,” said Verse when asked has he provided the coaches with a new timeline. “I’m still talking to my family, deciding what is best for me; what’s best for my family moving forward. But I have been very communicative with the coaches and the staff working around me. They have been very helpful, giving me the information I need. But it’s just whenever I feel right about it.”

And although Verse is still working things out with his family and those closest to him, he believes a decision will follow close behind the conclusion Florida states matchup against Oklahoma.

“Probably a week or two afterward, after the bowl game.”
