Count Florida State starting quarterback Jordan Travis among those on Seminoles softball bandwagon.

Following a massive two-run home run from Hallie Wacaser in the top of the sixth inning for Florida State to go up 5-1 over in the Women’s College World Series semifinals against Tennessee, Travis tweeted in excitement.

“Let’s goooo Noles,” Travis tweeted, with two fire emojis tacked on at the end.

It was not the first time during Florida State’s run before and during the team’s time in Oklahoma City that Travis has tweeted abut the softball team. During the team’s first game of the Women’s College World Series, Travis also tweeted a reaction to a home run. He also tweeted other times about the team.

The Seminoles are on the verge of making the Women’s College World Series finals against 59-1 Oklahoma. The finals would be a three-game series set to start Wednesday.

The last two times Florida State has made the Women’s College World Series, it has made it to the final game. They won the title in 2018 but lost in the championship series to the Sooners in 2021.

If the Volunteers come back to win, a winner-take-all game would be set for later Monday night.

Tennessee third baseman Zaida Puni scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first on a solo homer. But since then, Florida State has scored five straight runs to take control of the game.

Michaela Edenfield tied the game with a home run in the second inning. Bethaney Keen, who has spent the past two years with the Seminoles after playing four years at USF, hit the first home run of her Florida State career in the third to take a 2-1 lead.

Florida State added another run in the fifth inning before Wacaser’s homer extended the lead to 5-1.

Kathryn Sandercock entered the game in the fifth inning to close the contest out. The ACC Pitcher of the Year entered the game with a 28-3 record and nine saves.

That move was previewed by Seminoles head coach Lonni Alameda during her fourth inning interview with ESPN’s Holly Rowe.

“We have our whole bullpen ready to go,” she said. “I think if we can get a couple more runs and (Kathryn Sandercock) can be ready to go to finish out this. We know this is gonna be a dogfight. They’re a great team, so a lot of fun.”
