Four-star point guard Kyle Greene, Jr. took his first official visit this weekend to Georgetown. The Atlanta (GA) Pace Academy junior was in town from Friday to Sunday.

On3 caught up with the 2024 On3 150 No. 70 player to get his thoughts on the visit.

“Eating out with the coaches was the most memorable part,” Greene told On3. “You could tell they all liked each other and had great chemistry. The best place we ate was Farmers Fishers Bakers; the breakfast there was amazing.”

Greene played up in age this summer with the Upward Stars SE program on the Adidas 3SSB 17u Circuit. Greene averaged 6.0 points and 3.0 assists while shooting 44.4 percent from three during the Adidas Championships in Rock Hill.

“The coaches talked about how they like how I play the game the right way,” Greene said. “My ability to score while getting my teammates involved. I see myself fitting in well with their offense. They like to move the ball a lot, which I like. They allow their guards the freedom to make decisions, which I thrive at.

“The facilities were amazing,” Greene said. “You could tell they really invest in them to make them the best for basketball players specifically.”

Greene carries over 20 offers. He does not currently have any more visits set.

Scouting report

KJ Greene is a true point guard. He has a strong frame and good length. Greene lacks top-end pop, but he plays with a great pace and gets to his spots in the half-court off the bounce. He is a good shooter, has good balance, and has a consistent release. Greene is a good passer and has touch off the bounce. He has a good middle game, a nice pull-up, and an assortment of floaters. The athleticism will be the only question, but his IQ and skill set make him one of the top point guards, in his class, in his region.
