Mari Jordan, a 6-foot-5 small forward out of Dacula (Ga.) High has committed to Georgia basketball for the class of 2023, he tells On3.

The Georgia native selected the Bulldogs over Nebraska, Georgia State, Xavier, and Dayton.

Jordan is Georgia’s second commitment to the class. He joins fellow in-state prospect Marquavious Brown.

Why Georgia?

“I picked Georgia because it felt like home every time I was there and it’s close to my immediate family,” Jordan explained. “I feel like the system they run fits my style of play and I can really operate. I feel like I can go there and make an impact right away. The coaches made me feel like I am wanted and a part of the UGA family already. I feel like working with Coach Tom Crean will definitely help me prepare and get my game where it needs to be to play at the next level. The environment was great every time I was down there. The relationship I have built with all of the coaching staff is great. I also enjoy all that the campus had to offer.”
