Georgia is 7-0 and the no. 1 college football team in the country.

Kirby Smart has recruited multiple no. 1 recruiting classes, he has the Bulldogs playing at a very high level, and top recruits like what they are seeing.

Aliou Bah is one of those.

“I want to be a part of what Georgia is doing,” Bah said. “The high competition level, the way they compete, how they play tough, and just the high standard at Georgia makes it the right school for me.”

The four-star out of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy recently backed off his pledge to Florida State. He did so knowing he was going to Georgia.

“It is tough to say when I knew exactly I was going to Georgia, but I have had that feeling for a while now,” Bah said. “It may have been when I was in Athens for the Arkansas game that I made my mind up for sure, but I was leaning towards Georgia way before then.

“I would say I have been feeling Georgia and leaning towards Georgia for a while now.”

Georgia made Bah feel like a priority

Even though the 6-foot-5, 325-pound offensive lineman committed to Florida State in May, Georgia pursued Bah.

He took his official visit to Georgia June 18, and he liked it so much, he returned for an unofficial visit the following weekend.

Bah was back in Athens for the Arkansas game a few weeks ago, and he’s always felt wanted.

“It started on my official visit,” Bah said. “Coach Smart, coach (Matt) Luke (offensive line), and coach (Eddie) Gordon (assistant) all showed a lot of love, they kept it real with me, and that is where the relationship really started to grow with Georgia.

“They recruited me hard all summer, they always wanted me to visit, and the coaching staff at Georgia was great with communication.”

Three visits to Georgia has given Bah time to get close to the staff and get a good feeling for his future home. The new Georgia commit likes where he will be moving to in January.

“The hospitality at Georgia is great. Everyone is always welcoming, the people are great there, and the feeling I have there is like nowhere else.

“The staff, the people, the players, and everyone makes it feel like home. I had that feeling on my official visit, and that is why I went back the next weekend.

“I wanted to see if that feeling was real and if it was still there. It was.”

Bah is fired up to be a Georgia Bulldog

This decision has been weighing on Bah for some time. He has a strong connection to multiple coaches on the Florida State staff, but his feelings for Georgia are different.

He can’t wait to be part of the Bulldog family.

“I am super fired up about being a Georgia Bulldog,” Bah said. “Georgia is going to make me a better player, they are going to make me a better man off the field, and they are going to set me up for life.

“They have great coaches, they develop players on and off the field, and I am excited about. Not many talk about how strong Georgia is in academics, but they are great there too.

“I get everything I want and need at Georgia. Their standard is high on and off the field and I will be a part of it soon.”
