Former Miami wide receiver Colbie Young has committed to Georgia, he announced on Saturday. He had an impressive sophomore season with the Hurricanes before entering the transfer portal Dec. 10.

Young put up the best numbers of his young career in 2023, hauling in 47 receptions for 563 yards and five touchdowns to finish as Miami’s third-leading receiver. He was a top target for Tyler Van Dyke and Emory Williams, but will now take his talents to Athens.

After entering the portal, Young checked in as the No. 8-ranked wide receiver so far this cycle, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.

Young, who played high school football at Binghamton (NY) High School, started his career at the JUCO level at Lackawanna College. In his lone season with the program, he totaled 24 receptions for 472 yards and nine touchdowns before leaving to join Miami. As a sophomore in 2022, Young had 32 receptions for 372 yards and five touchdowns.

On the whole, across 22 career games at Miami, Colbie Young had 79 receptions for 930 yards and 10 touchdowns.
