Christmas is rapidly approaching. There are plenty of stories of generosity from around the country this time of the year. It is one of the best parts of Christmas. Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Micah Morris decided to put his NIL money to use on Friday night. He purchased over 100 Christmas presents to support families from the Boys and Girls Club of Athens, Georgia.

Check out the picture below. It’s an excellent example of generosity around Christmas time combined with a powerful example of how NIL can be used to do positive things.

In 2022, Morris saw action as a reserve offensive lineman in six of 13 games this year. In 2021, the 6-foot-6, 330-pound offensive lineman saw his first college football game experience against Charleston Southern. He also played his freshman year against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Much like the rest of Georgia’s roster, Morris was one of the most highly touted prospects in America coming out of high school. He played his high school football for Camden County (Kingsland, Georgia) and Morris was selected to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. According to the On3 Consensus Rankings for the 2021 cycle, he was rated as the No. 8 offensive tackle prospect in America and the No. 63 overall player in the country.

As a senior in 2020, Morris helped pave the way for the Camden County Wildcats–they racked up 1,170 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns in 11 games. Once he hung up his cleats for the Wildcats, he was the highest-rated prospect in Camden County high school football history.

Morris has patiently waited his turn and will look to step into a bigger role with the Georgia Bulldogs in the coming years.

Georgia will face off against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl in the upcoming College Football Playoff. That one is slated for New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31 at 8:00 PM EST. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN. Georgia is currently favored to win by 6.5 points. The Bulldogs are aiming to become the first team to win back-to-back College Football Playoffs.
