Kendall Milton projects to be an important piece of the reigning champion Georgia Bulldogs offense, but his spring is off to a rocky start.

Originally, Milton suffered a hamstring injury early on during spring drills, but it turns out the perceived minor injury is more serious than originally thought, and the star running back will miss the rest of the spring, according to DawgsHQ.

However, the report from Jake Rowe of DawgsHQ did provide some positive news as well, as it’s expected that Milton will recover swiftly, and be ready for preseason camp.

“Sources tell DawgsHQ that he is expected to make a full recover and in time for preseason camp,” wrote Rowe. “It’s a tough injury for Milton, who has battled injuries in each of his four years at UGA.

“He made the decision before the 2022 season was over that he would be coming back for one final season in red and black. The California native is expected to be the Bulldogs’ feature running back.”

Alas, Milton is entering another season with the Bulldogs chock full of expectations and dreams, as he’s previously stated that he’ll “work everyday” both on and off the field this spring, finishing out his degree and preparing for another campaign under Kirby Smart‘s leadership.

“I knew what I wanted by the time that I leave Georgia. I know that I wanted to get my degree from Georgia,” Milton said this spring, per DawgsHQ. “You put in all this work for something that, you know, shows power and has importance when it comes to the real world. So I wanted to finish out.

“I wanted to finish out with the brothers that I came in with. We work every day, and we put everything on the line and everything on the table. Just being able to come in and come out with a bang, I would say that’s something that’s super big to me.”

Over three fantastic seasons with Georgia, Milton has continued to improve upon the last with each coming year. So of course, his best season came in 2022, as the Bulldogs star rushed for 592 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, while also hauling in five passes for 64 receiving yards and a score.

However, Georgia has a new quarterback and offensive coordinator in 2023, so things could get shaken up. Kendall Milton will continue to ball out as long as he’s healthy though, as the best seems to be ahead of the Bulldogs ball carrier.
