Coaches are back out on the recruiting trail in mid-January, and the staff at Georgia is no exception. Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart and offensive line coach Stacy Searels hit the road to visit Snellville (Ga.) Parkview 2025 four-star interior offensive lineman Cortez Smith.

Smith is the nation’s No. 161 overall prospect and No. 9 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 22 recruit in Georgia.

Georgia leads with a 95.9% chance of landing Smith, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Georgia recruiting insider Jeremy Johnson logged an expert prediction this week with a 60% confidence level that Smith will commit to the ‘Dawgs.

Smith was back in Athens last weekend for yet another visit. The Bulldogs hosted around 30-35 prospects in the 2025 and 2026 classes for a group unofficial visit that included a gathering, basketball game and position-specific meetings on Saturday.

“It felt more certified, I guess because I’m a junior now,” Smith told On3. “It was more official…They’re definitely one of my top programs.”

Georgia ranks No. 3 in 2025 cycle

Georgia currently holds commitments from six prospects in the 2025 cycle: Manchester (Ga.) five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry, Folkston (Ga.) Camden County four-star tight end Elyiss Williams, Buford (Ga.) four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte, Alpharetta (Ga.) four-star tight end Ethan Barbour, Cedartown (Ga.) four-star cornerback Tae Harris and Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove three-star running back Bo Walker.

Terry was one of the earliest prospects to commit to the ‘Dawgs, and he headlines their 2025 class.

“It’s always love and good times. I like the coaching staff, all the coaches show that they’re there for you,” Terry told On3 last year. “If you show that you’re going to work, they’re going to be down for you and welcome you with open arms. It’s just family love. When I step on campus, it feels natural — like I’m at home.”
