Conroe (Texas) Oak Ridge four-star defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye is one of the many Georgia signees ready to wreak havoc at the Under Armour All-America Game on Jan. 3 in Orlando.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder is not shy about his ability and is looking to make his mark amongst the top prospects in the nation over the next few days. He and his fellow Bulldog signees already have a leg up on the competition in the Sunshine State, too.

Jonah-Ajonye, like his Oak Ridge teammate, Five-Star Plus+ linebacker Justin Williams, and UGA 4-star LB signee Chris Cole, was in Athens practicing with the Bulldogs ahead of their 60-point beatdown of Florida State in the Orange Bowl on Saturday.

“It’s been amazing. I’ve definitely learned a lot in the past two weeks. I’m coming here to showcase it during this game,” Jonah-Ajonye said following Sunday’s Under Armour practice.

Jonah-Ajonye committed to Kirby Smart and the Dawgs on July 6, choosing them over Oklahoma and Georgia Tech. Less than six months later, he’s already in red and black and continues to feel the love from his new teammates and coaching staff.

“Getting reps with the ones and already getting treated like i’ve already played with them — like i’m family and whatnot, even though I just got there,” Jonah-Ajonye said.

“Two things: the pace of which they practice — it’s really fast, so I had to get used to it and now i’m somewhat used to it, so that’s getting better. Then just how big the O-linemen are, how big everybody is,” He added when asked about the biggest differences at the college level.

Jonah-Ajonye and the rest of the new Bulldogs watched the UGA seniors go out with a bang, drubbing the Seminoles and checking out as one of the winningest classes ever.

He looked on from the sidelines, eager to etch his incoming class into the history books by the time he’s set to leave. As one of nine top-100 prospects in UGA’s top-ranked class, Jonah-Ajonye certainly sees the potential.

“It was amazing, during the first and second quarter I was having a lot of fun running on the sidelines, doing celebrations. After halftime, it just kind of died down, cause you know, blew them out by 60,” he said of the Orange Bowl experience. “The expectation is definitely to beat that group and get to 51 (wins) and be the winningest class. Just keep on elevating and raising the bar for the next class and the class after that.”
