Broderick Jones has the tall task of keeping quarterbacks upright for Georgia throughout their title defense in 2022. Evidently, Mike Renner of Pro Football Focus believes that can translate into some fantastic things in the offensive lineman’s NFL future.

Next season, Jones will continue to cut his teeth against the best college football has to offer. Looking ahead to next April, Renner singled out the Pittsburgh Steelers as the best potential NFL fit for the Georgia star.

“The former five-star tackle recruit has only seen 463 snaps as a spot backup to date for his career. Still, he’s already done some jaw-dropping things that other 315-pound men can only dream of,” wrote Renner. “He earned a 78.8 overall grade last season and will be the Bulldogs’ starting left tackle this fall.”

If Renner’s prediction comes to fruition, Jones would assume the position of keeping freshly-minted Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett upright. Arguably the second most important player on the field is the left tackle, and Jones could be that man for Pittsburgh.

Nevertheless, Broderick Jones has his full attention on capturing his second consecutive championship with the Bulldogs. However, the NFL hype is nice to have — now the Georgia offensive lineman will have to continue to build on it.

The best NFL fit for Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter in 2023 NFL Draft

Moreover, Kirby Smart will be relying on Georgia defensive lineman and budding star Jalen Carter throughout Georgia’s defense of their title. While looking ahead to the 2023 NFL DraftRenner of also revealed the best fit for Jones’ teammate as it pertains to the NFL.

“Matt Eberflus needs his 3-technique. So much so that they nearly used all their available cap space this offseason to sign Larry Ogunjobi,” began Renner. “Well, the 2023 draft features a 3-technique who is even better than Ogunjobi and could very well be the best we’ve seen in our eight years of grading at PFF.

“It was Carter who led all FBS defensive tackles — and Georgia defenders — with a 90.0 pass-rushing grade last season. That’s unheard of for a true sophomore at the position.”

If Carter makes his way to Chicago, he could be a transformative piece for the Bears defense. After trading away Khalil Mack to the Los Angeles Chargers, the Bears will be looking for one — and Carter would be perfect.

Nevertheless, there’s plenty of time between now and the 2023 NFL Draft — but Jalen Carter will remain high on draft boards if he continues his progression.
