Warren McClendon is honoring his late teammate Devin Willock in a special way at the Senior Bowl.

The former starting Georgia offensive lineman was involved in the car crash that claimed the aforementioned Willock, along with recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy. McClendon only needed a couple stitches to his forehead following the accident, per his father.

Now, Jim Nagy — Executive Director Reese’s Senior Bowl — has shared that with the blessing of McClendon and his family, the NFL hopeful will honor Willock during the event with his jersey number.

“With the blessing of Warren McClendon and his family, the @seniorbowl has assigned McClendon jersey #77 to honor his late @GeorgiaFootball teammate Devin Willock,” tweeted Nagy. “McClendon wore #70 in his three years as starter for the Dawgs.”

As you can see, Willock will be there every step of the way with McClendon, and it’s sure to be emotional when he puts on his No. 77 at the event.

The thoughts and prayers of the college football world remain with the Georgia Bulldogs, and the families of both Devin Willock and Chandler LeCroy, as well as everyone involved.
