Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County EDGE Zachariah Keith is back on the market again.

After previously committing to Georgia Tech, then decommitting in January, Keith re-committed to the Yellow Jackets in June. On Saturday, he decommitted from the in-state school a second time and reopened his recruitment.

“I want to take this moment to thank the entire GA Tech staff for the opportunity to be a yellow jacket,” Keith wrote on Twitter. “Although Coach Collins and Coach Marco are no longer with the program, I would like to extend a huge thanks to them for their efforts during my recruitment process. They were very instrumental in my decision. In addition, I would like to say thanks to Coach T, Coach Knight, and Coach Kennyatta. Lastly, I want to thank everyone who gave me their support during this process. At this time, due to the recent coaching changes at GA Tech, I will be re-opening my recruitment.”

The 6-foot-4, 241-pounder is the No. 864 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 72 EDGE and the No. 89 senior recruit in the state of Georgia.

On3 is much higher on Keith than the other recruiting services though, per the Industry Comparison. In the most recent On300 rankings, he was tabbed as the country’s No. 245 prospect, No. 29 EDGE and No. 26 senior in the Peach State.

In addition to the Yellow Jackets, Keith holds more than a dozen other offers, including Vanderbilt, Michigan State, Missouri, Mississippi State and more.

Totaled 101 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 4 forced fumbles and 14 sacks during his junior campaign. Thicker build that could grow into a 3-technique or 4i-technique at the next level. Stands in at 6-foot-3.5, 245 pounds with a 6-foot-8 wingspan and a 10-inch hand. Athletic and rangy edge defender. Ran an electronically-timed 4.98 40-yard dash during the spring camp circuit prior to his senior season. Solid hand usage and ability to disengage at the point of attack. Slight hip stiffness. Can get stuck in the mud when changing direction at times. High floor prospect that can stuff the run and is a relentless pass rusher.”
