Homerville (Ga.) Clinch County three-star wide receiver Jeremy Bell has decommitted from Indiana, he announced on Monday.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder was pledged to the Hoosiers since July 12. He also held offers from the likes of Vanderbilt, Coastal Carolina and Georgia State.

Bell is the No. 1254 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 180 wideout and No. 142 player in Georgia.

Bell is the third prospect to decommit from the Hoosiers in the last 24 hours. He joins Olney (Md.) Good Counsel three-star cornerback Judah Jenkins and Cincinnati Mt. Healthy three-star athlete Javier Etheridge, both of whom backed off their pledges on Sunday.

“After talking with my coaches as well as my family, it’s best for me to decommit from Indiana University and reopen my recruitment. Respect my decision. Thank you IU for everything,” Jenkins wrote in his announcement.

Bell does not currently have an On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Hoosiers down to 15 commits in 2024 recruiting class

New Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti will have plenty of work to do on the recruiting trail once he gets settled in Bloomington. Following the trio of decommitments, the Hoosiers’ 2024 recruiting class now features 15 commits and ranks 59th in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

The class is without a blue-chip prospect and currently has just one commit who ranks inside the top 500 of the On3 Industry Ranking — Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman three-star CB Josh Philostin.

Philostin is now one of four defensive backs pledged to the Hoosiers. He’s joined by Enterprise (Ala.) three-star safety Keion Dunlap, Carmel (Ind.) three-star CB Christian Peterson and Manassas (Va.) Freedom three-star safety Kameron Courtney.

On the offensive side of the ball, Madison (Ohio) Trotwood-Madison three-star quarterback Timothy Carpenter headlines as the No. 50 signal-caller in the cycle. He’s flanked by the likes of Indianapolis Speedway three-star interior offensive lineman Adedamola Ajani, Nashville Father Ryan three-star wide receiver Charlie Becker and Davisburg (Mich.) Clarkston three-star tight end Brody Kosin.
