Caitlin Clark earned herself a national spotlight with how she played this year, especially in the postseason. Now, in her time away from basketball, she’s still taking in the game from front and center.

The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves played Game 4 of their opening-round series in the NBA Playoffs tonight in Minneapolis. That’s where Clark found herself this evening as she was sitting courtside for the matchup.

Clark just wrapped up her junior season where she won National Player of the Year at Iowa. She earned that accolade by posting 27.8 points, 8.6 assists, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. She also shot efficiently at 47.3% from the field and 38.9% from three on nearly four makes from distance a contest. That production helped lead the Hawkeyes to an appearance in the national championship.

There’s no telling what led Clark to Minnesota tonight. Still, the women’s basketball star caught the attention of the cameras yet again and made it on the jumbotron tonight while visiting the Target Center.

WNBA exec on Caitlin Clark: ‘I don’t want her to stay in college another year’

During the last Women’s NCAA Tournament, Iowa star Caitlin Clark was one of several players that made a name for themselves. She still has time at Iowa before she moves on to the WNBA, meaning that there will likely be more eyes on the college game next season.

However, at least one WNBA executive doesn’t want her to even stay in college.

“Some of the games that Clark’s had this year indicate to us that she’s one of the best guards we’ve ever seen,” an anonymous executive told The Athletic.

“I do know what I’d like to see from Caitlin: I’d like to see her come out next year. I don’t want her to stay in college another year. I want her to say, ‘Hey, I’m tired of college. I’m going to go to the pros.”

In other words, Caitlin Clark doesn’t need any more time to develop. She’s ready for the WNBA now and teams want to be able to bring her in.

Another WNBA executive shared that they don’t think that Clark even has much that she needs to improve in her game.

“Nothing, honestly,” they said. “She’s been doing this since her freshman year. If anything, it’s nice to see that the turnovers continue to pare down a little bit, which has been happening. So, obviously, there has been an awareness to that. And she’s got to guard people, you know. That’s gonna be something that follows her to the next level.”
