Iowa State star running back Breece Hall entering 2022 NFL Draft

Iowa State running back Breece Hall has been one of the premier offensive players in college football over his time with the Cyclones. However, it’s come to an end — Hall took to social media on Saturday to announce he’s entering the 2022 NFL Draft.

“After much praying and discussion with loved ones, I have decided to forgo my remaining eligibility and enter the 2022 NFL Draft,” writes Hall. “While this decision has not been easy, playing in the NFL has been a lifelong dream of mine. I know that Cyclone Nation will support me and this decision. I am excited and grateful for this next step in my life.”

Throughout his time with the Cyclones, Hall was a superstar. In three seasons with the Cyclones, Hall ran for 3,941 yards and 50 touchdowns. Additionally, he caught 82 passes for 734 yards and six touchdowns.

Continuing, Hall made sure to give the Iowa State faithful the thanks they deserve.

“To Cyclone Nation, thank you so much,” wrote Hall. “The support you have given me throughout these last three years is undeniable. I appreciate your support and dedication to this team. Would not trade this experience for anything in the world. I will never forget the roar of the crowd in Jack Trice Stadium. I am honored to be a Cyclone, and I will always be a Cyclone.”

In his three seasons at Iowa State, Breece Hall accumulated plenty of hardware. Whether it was from the Big 12 Conference or national love, Hall was highly-regarded from all levels of college football.

First, Hall was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in both 2020 and 2021. To illustrate, Hall had at least 1,400 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns both seasons. Additionally, the Cyclones running back was a first-team All-Big 12 selection both seasons.

Next, Hall was an All-American both seasons as well. In 2020, the Iowa State star was an Unanimous All-American selection. Moreover, in 2021, Hall was a Consensus All-American.

At the next level, Hall projects to be one of the first running backs taken in the 2022 NFL Draft. While he loved his time with Iowa State, the opportunity to get a jump start on his NFL career was too much to pass up.
