Alabama defensive back Kristian Story commits to Kentucky

Alabama defensive back Kristian Story has committed to Kentucky, he announced via X on Wednesday afternoon. A great pickup out of the NCAA transfer portal for head coach Mark Stoops, adding to the Wildcats’ secondary for the 2024 season.

Story played in every game for Alabama this season. While his playing time was limited, he did have a career year with 15 tackles and one interception. Slotted in the back half of the secondary as a safety, Story shared playing time with multiple players while Alabama made a run toward the College Football Playoff.

Now heading to another SEC program, there should be a playing time opportunity for Story. He has already completed four years of school and 2024 could be his last.

Story played high school football at Lanett (AL) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 200 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
