Will Levis and Kentucky will face their second big test of the season when they travel to Oxford this weekend and face Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss squad. Kiffin has been a relatively recognizable name in college football over the last decade and Levis is well aware of what he brings to the table.

Levis spoke highly of Kiffin during an appearance on ‘The Paul Finebaum Show’ on Monday. He says Kiffin’s reputation precedes him as a QB coach and someone who always has his team ready to roll.

“He’s a great coach. I think his track record speaks for itself. I’ve never been able to develop a relationship with him. (I’ve) only been able to watch his teams play on television. It seems that the quarterbacks that have played for him have absolutely loved playing for him,” said Levis. “He gets his guys ready. They’re as highly ranked as they are for a reason…I know he’s gonna bring it. He’s gonna prepare his team just like we are.”

With a 4-2 road record since arriving at Kentucky, Levis and his teammates have proven themselves as road warriors. The Wildcats have already gone on the road this season and beat a Top-15 Florida team. With the Rebels striping out Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for the Top-15 matchup, it should be yet another electric environment for both teams. Levis is ready to go, though, as part of him enjoys getting road wins more than he does home ones.

“We’re gonna go down there and look forward to playing a really tough football game. Anytime you’re playing an SEC game, you know that you’re gonna have to bring it. Or else you can get surprised. So to go on the road and to have that motivation to go down there and make our fans proud in an environment like that is really exciting,” Levis said. “We did it once against Florida this year. I have more fun in away games than I do at home games.”

Plenty of eyes will be on this game this weekend with it being the noon kick on ESPN. It will mean a lot to both teams with a great SEC start and a Top-10 spot in the AP Poll on the line. Levis is ready for his matchup with Kiffin and the Rebels, though, as he looks to steal the show again for Kentucky.
