Four-star interior offensive lineman Madden Sanker of Douglasville (GA) South Paulding announced his commitment to Louisville Monday evening.

The 6-foot-4, 306 pounder chose the Cardinals over Miami, Michigan State, and others.

Sanker on why he chose Louisville

“I think the main thing was being a part of this class that will make Louisville a top team,” Sanker said. “A lot of these other schools are top programs, but Louisville is on the come up and this class is really gonna solidify Louisville as a top program over the next few years.”

Madden Sanker has strong relationships with coaching staff

“Coach Sat and coach Cardwel for sure,” Sanker said. “I love the energy Cardwel has, and how he’s a younger coach making his way up in the ranks of OL coaches. Coach Sat is an awesome, mellow type of coach and I love how he treats his players.”

Madden Sanker Scouting Summary

“State champion wrestler who shows off his leverage and violent mindset on the gridiron for all four quarters,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote. “Won the Georgia state wrestling title in the 285 pound weight division as a junior. Needs to redistribute his weight evenly through his frame. Measures in at 6–foot-4, just under 300 pounds with a 6-foot-6 wingspan. Raw power is evident in his punch and initial strike. Threw 45 feet in the shot put and over 142 feet in the discus during his junior track and field season. Ferocious finisher who buries his opponent consistently. Once engaged he is locked in and rarely detached from the opponent.”

“Slightly heavy footed, will need to kick inside at the next level. Struggles to get lateral and climb to the second level. Interior lineman projection that has the raw power and tenacity to thrive at the next level. Will need to speed up his feet in order to develop into an NFL draft pick. Should come with weight and body transformation in a collegiate strength and conditioning program.”

Sanker ranks as the No. 121 player in the On300 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting sites. He also tabs in as the No. 8 interior offensive lineman and the No. 8 player in the state of Georgia.
