TJ Robinson, a three-star point guard in the 2024 class, has decommitted from Louisville following the firing of head coach Kenny Payne. Payne exits Louisville with a 12-52 overall record across two seasons.

The 6-foot-4 senior out of Immaculate Conception High School (NJ) had been committed to the Cardinals since October of 2022. He chose Louisville over offers from Georgetown, LSU, Temple, Fordham, Kansas State, and others.

Louisville now has zero commitments in their 2024 recruiting class.

Robinson provided the following statement to On3:

I would like to thank the University of Louisville Basketball for offering me a scholarship and all of Card Nation for the nonstop support while I was committed. But, after the resigning of Coach Payne and staff, my family and I have decided it’s best to reopen my recruitment. Love, TJ Robinson

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Robinson is the No. 215 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He’s also the No. 35 point guard prospect and the No. 7 player in the state of New Jersey. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
