The Louisville Cardinals are set to host one of the most dynamic scorers in the college basketball transfer portal. According to Jeff Borzello of ESPN, Wisconsin transfer Chucky Hepburn is going to arrive soon on Wednesday evening for his official visit with the Cardinals.

Hepburn was very complete this year for the Badgers, averaging 9.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. He also shot over 32% from beyond-the-arc. Hepburn also grabbed 2.1 steals per game, showing he can play both ends of the floor very well.

Against Purdue, he had a clutch performance, making a layup at the buzzer to send the game to overtime, where the Badgers would eventually win, 76-75. The Nebraska native finished with 22 points, four assists, two rebounds, and three steals. AJ Storr also chipped in 20 points and six rebounds.

Wisconsin had a pretty solid season this year, finishing 22-14 overall and 11-9 in the Big Ten Conference. They made it to the first round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, where they lost to the No. 12 seed, the James Madison Dukes, 72-61.

Against Maryland on Jan. 25th, the 6-2 guard had a really nice chase down block, where he sprinted from behind to spank the ball off the glass. Once the season wrapped up, he came away with several accolades, including 2024 All-Big Ten Honorable Mention, Big Ten All-Defensive Team honors, and Big Ten All-Tournament Team honors.

In 2022, Hepburn averaged 12.2 points per game for Wisconsin, shooting 40.5% from deep, while averaging 2.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.5 steals.

As a freshman, Hepburn earned Big Ten All-Freshman honors, after averaging 7.9 points, leading the team in assists, and ranking second on the team in steals. He became the first true freshman to start a season opener for the Badgers since Devin Harris did it in 2001. Hepburn also drilled a game-winning three-pointer against the Purdue Boilermakers on March 1, 2022 to help lift the Badgers past the No. 8 ranked team in America.

Hepburn played his high school basketball at Bellevue West (Omaha, Nebraska). He was rated as a four-star prospect and was named the 2020 Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Nebraska. A dominant prep career, he advanced to the state championship game his freshman, junior, and senior seasons at Bellevue West. He led them to the Class 6A state title his junior season in 2020, after averaging 17.7 points, 6.1 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.1 steals.
