Four-star interior offensive lineman Brett Bordelon of New Orleans (LA) Isidore Newman announced his commitment to LSU Tuesday evening.

The 6-foot-5, 285 pounder chose the Tigers over Georgia, Texas, and Alabama.

Bordelon on why he chose LSU

“What really stood out was how Coach Kelly came in and proved he can win the SEC west in his first year,” Bordelon said. “LSU started off rough with a loss to FSU and in previous years their season would have begun to tank. I was able to talk to my brother about this and he told me they never went down but were brought up by the loss. I have also grown up a tiger fan my entire life. My dad played here in the 90’s and my brother is here now. My entire family has attended LSU as well. I remember coming to games from a young age with Walker Howard and my brother who are both here playing now. I have also always wanted to win a national championship and I think after seeing how great LSU will be there is no better place to do it than here.”

Relationships stood out to Brett Bordelon

“I am truly close with everyone on their staff. Me and Bo have been visiting LSU since we were young with my dad and it progresses until Bo and now into me. I can have a conversation with anyone there. The coach I am closest to is Coach Brad Davis, the offensive line coach. We have built a bond as he has been recruiting me as soon as he got to LSU. He and I can talk about anything and everything. The best part is my brother gets to tell me all the positive and negative things that happen at LSU. The only thing is I haven’t heard anything negative about it.”

The Louisiana offensive lineman is the second commitment in LSU’s 2025 class alongside Jaylen Bell.
