LSU forward Angel Reese not only helped the Tigers secure their first national title in school history with their 102-85 win over Iowa on Sunday. But she also provided one of the most viral moments of the entire NCAA Tournament.

Reese reclaimed Iowa’s Caitlin Clark‘s infamous ‘you can’t see me’ celebration, gesturing it toward Clark in the closing moments of the game. And after the game, Reese admitted that it was a trick that was up her sleeve heading into the national championship.

“I was waiting, when I tell you I was waiting, I was waiting,” Reese said.

Reese explained her reasoning behind the taunting celebratory act as well, which apparently dates back to when Clark helped Iowa upset South Carolina in the previous round of the Final 4.

“Caitlin Clark is a hell of a player for sure, but I don’t take disrespect lightly,” Reese said. “And she disrespected Alexis (Morris) and my girls, South Carolina they’re still my SEC girls too, but y’all gonna disrespect them either.”

There’s no doubt that Reese didn’t take disrespect lightly, as she added 15 points and 10 rebounds to her celebration and the Tigers win. Her stat line marked her 34th double-double of the season, a new women’s Division I record, and helped her earn the award forMost Outstanding Player for the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

But apparently, that isn’t all she wanted out of of Sunday’s game.

“I wanted to pick her pocket, but I had a moment at the end of the game and I was just in my bag, I was in my moment,” Reese said.

Reese may not have gotten the chance to pick Clark’s pocket, she surely was still able to put a stamp on LSU’s historic season.

Angel Reese taunts Caitlin Clark with John Cena celebration during title win

Reese didn’t only help the Tigers break some records on Sunday, but the hearts of some Iowa fans. In the closing moments of the game, Reese mocked the infamous ‘you can’t see me’ celebration originated by WWE wrestler John Cena and revitalized by Iowa guard Caitlin Clark in their Elite 8 matchup during the tournament.

After pointing towards her finger to signify the Tiger’s future championship ring, Reese did Clark’s celebration in Clark directly in her face in a truly savage moment that can be seen below.
