Chicago St. Ignatius five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott has earned an offer from LSU.

Scott is the No. 12 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The 2024 On300 ranking has Scott ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the class. Chandler (Ariz.) five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola and Chesapeake (Va.) IMG Academy five-star cornerback Desmond Ricks are the two recruits ranked ahead of him.

“Justin Scott is light on his feet — a bouncy, big kid,” On3 National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton said. “When you watch him, I don’t think there’s any doubt the way he moves and bends, the ankle flexion — all those things added up to a guy that has an extremely high ceiling as a player. That’s not to say he isn’t already a good player on Friday nights, but his best football is way in front of him. When you see the balance, the athleticism, the ability to change direction, the length, the frame and where it’s going to go, it kind of reminded me of A’Shawn Robinson when I first saw him as a young player in Fort Worth.”

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $110k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The Tigers are one of six teams in the 2024 cycle to have three or more verbals in their class.

Bellaire (Texas) Shadow Creek four-star safety Maurice Williams, Chillicothe (Ohio) four-star tight end Tayvion Galloway, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson four-star athlete Joseph Stone and Jonesboro (La.) Jonesboro-Hodge three-star linebacker Xavier Atkins are the four 2024 LSU commits.
