Longview (Texas) Pine Tree four-star defensive lineman Dealyn Evans received an offer from LSU on Sunday. He has been committed to Texas A&M since July 31.

Evans is the No. 215 overall prospect and No. 17 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 34 player in Texas.

On3 rates Evans higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 171 overall prospect, No. 12 defensive lineman and No. 33 player in Texas.

The 6-foot-4.5, 265-pound recruit is one of three pledges in the Aggies’ 2024 recruiting class. Others are Katy (Texas) Tompkins four-star interior offensive lineman Ashton Funk and Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton four-star wide receiver Debron Gatling.

Meanwhile, LSU’s 2024 recruiting class contains eight players. They include Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy four-star quarterback Colin Hurley, Bellaire (Texas) Shadow Creek four-star safety Maurice Williams and Loganville (Ga.) Grayson four-star athlete Joseph Stone.

Evans has an On3 NIL Valuation of $36K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
