LSU offers Ole Miss 4-star DL commit Jamarious Brown
Moss Point (Miss.) four-star defensive lineman Jamarious Brown received an offer from LSU on Thursday. He committed to Ole Miss on July 29.
Brown is the No. 269 overall prospect and No. 34 defensive lineman in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in Mississippi.
On3 rates Brown higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2023 On300, he is the No. 110 overall prospect, No. 12 defensive lineman and No. 2 player in Mississippi.
The 6-foot-3, 270-pound prospect is the fifth-highest-ranked prospect in the Rebels’ 2023 recruiting class. Ole Miss’ group is No. 20 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 9 in the SEC.
Meanwhile, LSU’s 2023 recruiting class is No. 5 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 3 in the SEC. The Tigers’ class is led by Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic five-star wide receiver Shelton Sampson Jr., the No. 31 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus.
