LSU gymnast Olivia “Livvy” Dunne signed her latest NIL deal with Caktus AI, an education artificial intelligence tool. However, that partnership didn’t sit well with the university.

After Dunne posted a TikTok promoting the agreement, LSU released a statement that warned students about using AI for their homework.

“At LSU, our professors and students are empowered to use technology for learning and pursuing the highest standards of academic integrity,” the statement said, via The Advocate’s James Wilkins. “However, using AI to produce work that a student then represents as one’s own could result in a charge of academic misconduct, as outlined in the Code of Student Conduct.”

Dunne is one of the most prominent figures in college sports and has capitalized on her NIL opportunities. She has millions of followers on social media, including 7.2 million on TikTok. As a result, she currently ranks No. 3 in the On3 NIL 100 and has the highest NIL Valuation of any female athlete at $3.4 million.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.

LSU increased security after fans disrupted January gymnastics meet

Dunne’s popularity has also led to an increased fan turnout at gymnastics meets — and some of them disrupted the season opener against Utah. After that game, LSU planned to increase its security detail on the road, head coach Jay Clark told ESPN.

Dunne took to Twitter to respond to the incident, urging fans to treat other gymnasts with respect.

“I will always appreciate and love the support from you guys, but if you come to a meet, I want to ask you to please be respectful of the other gymnasts and the gymnastics community as we are just doing our job,” Dunne tweeted with a heart emoji.
