Final On3 2024 5-star Rankings 13 Newly Minted 5-stars!! New No. 1 Qb | Inside Scoop

On3 has released its final recruiting ranking for the 2024 class after the completion of the high school football season and all-star competitions. Beaumont (Texas) United offensive tackle and LSU signee Weston Davis is a five-star and the No. 23 overall prospect in the 2024 On300.

The latest edition of On3’s 2024 rankings features 32 five-star players, up from 21 in the penultimate update in November. Of those 32 prospects, 29 are signed to college programs, with three still yet to make their decisions official.

This final update comes after the end of the high school playoffs and postseason All-American games, where top prospects across the country faced off in a week of practices and ended with nationally televised games.

The 6-foot-5.5, 285-pound Davis flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to LSU in October after previously being pledged to the Aggies since June.

“I see that LSU has the best offensive line in the SEC right now,” Davis told On3. “Coach Davis is a good coach and he developed the players that he has now.

“I love the coaching staff, especially coach Davis. Man, it’s family there for sure. They plan on using me like Emery (Jones) and Will (Campbell).”

Weston Davis Scouting Summary

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this about Davis as a prospect:

“Light-footed, flexible offensive tackle with one of the higher developmental upsides among offensive linemen in the 2024 cycle. Measured in at over to 6-foot-5, and north of 280 pounds in the spring prior to his senior year. Has plus length for the position with arms that have measured over 35 inches. Was a basketball-first athlete prior to taking up football in high school. Still relatively new to the game, but has shown considerable upside. Has high-end movement skills.

“Easily works to the second level as a run blocker and has burst and bounce in his movements. Shows budding physicality as a run blocker and works to finish blocks. Has the natural skill set to develop into a gifted pass protector. Will need time to gain strength and mass along with honing his technique. Should benefit from a redshirt year and time in a college strength program. Doubles as a contributor on Beaumont United’s nationally-ranked basketball team.”
