Miami coach Mario Cristobal had both good and bad news on the injury front for his offensive line Wednesday. Speaking with reporters, Cristobal provided status updates on Justice Oluwaseun, Jonathan Denis and Jakai Clark ahead of a matchup against Virginia on Saturday.

Cristobal confirmed that Clark is “fully healthy” and will be available against the Cavaliers, but he couldn’t say the same for the other two.

“Justice injured himself pretty good,” he said. “We don’t expect him back for a while. Jonathan Dennis, his first start ever at Virginia Tech had some ups and downs. He was playing really well and practiced really well all of last week until he got hurt. He was communicating really well.

“Jakai had sustained an injury against North Carolina and it took him a while to get healthy. He was close to being fully healthy last week, healthy enough to play and he played some. He’s an extremely valuable member of this offensive line and this team. He’s had a great week and is now fully healthy, so we expect us to have excellent play from him this Saturday.”

Denis started the past two games in place of an injured Clark, though the latter still saw limited action off the bench. However, Denis was forced out of last week’s game against Duke with a knee injury, putting his status for Saturday in question.

As for Oluwaseun, he was injured two weeks ago against North Carolina and has not played since. Based on Critobal’s comments from Wednesday, it seems as if he will be held out for the foreseeable future.

Those aren’t the only injuries that Mario Cristobal is dealing with on the offensive line, though. Zion Nelson has not played since Week 3, and Cristobal was unable to say Tuesday whether he’ll be back at any point this season.

Miami is scheduled to kick off against Virginia at 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in Charlottesville.
