Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton four-star quarterback Luke Nickel has seen his stock rise in a big way as he gears up for his senior season on the gridiron.

After acquiring blue-chip status this year, the Miami commit added notch to his belt on Wednesday, as he earned an invitation to the Elite 11 Finals this summer in Los Angeles. His offer comes after he impressed at the Elite 11 regional camp in Atlanta earlier this spring.

FULL ELITE 11 FINALS ROSTER

There are few higher honors for high school quarterbacks than being invited to the Elite 11 Finals. The event, which will celebrate its 25th year in 2024, brings together the country’s elite signal-callers for three days of competition and training in Los Angeles.

Elite 11 alumni include Carson PalmerAndrew LuckMatthew StaffordTim Tebow, and more recently Trevor LawrenceC.J. StroudBryce Young and more. Last year’s Elite 11 Finals featured more than a dozen of the top 20 quarterbacks in the final On3 Industry Rankings, including each of the top five players at the position.

Nickel joins 17 previous invitees: USC commit Julian Lewis, Ohio State pledge Tavien St. Clair, Notre Dame commit Deuce Knight, Texas A&M commit Husan Longstreet, Texas commit K.J. Lacey, SMU commit Keelon Russell, Oklahoma commit Kevin Sperry, Florida State pledge Tramell Jones, North Carolina commit Bryce Baker, Missouri commit Matt Zollers, Georgia pledge Ryan Montgomery, TCU commit Ty Hawkins, Tennessee pledge George MacIntyre, Nebraska commit TJ Lateef, uncommitted four-star Malik Washington, Iowa State commit Alex Manske and Mississippi State pledge Kamario Taylor.

Nickel continues to rise in the On300

The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder was just a three-star prospect when he committed to the Hurricanes last August. He’s since become a major riser in the 2025 On300 and now checks in at No. 146 overall, No. 13 under center and No. 19 in Georgia. He’s also a top-300 recruit in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

“Miami commit Luke Nickel (No. 152) makes his debut in the On300 on the heels of a big junior season,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote this spring. “Nickel passed for over 3,900 yards and 39 touchdowns while leading Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton to a state title in Georgia’s highest classification. We were extremely impressed with Nickel’s junior film, as the Hurricane pledge showed the ability to make high-level throws against top competition.”

Nickel is the longest-tenured commit in Miami’s 2025 class, which ranks No. 18 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. He’s one of seven pledges in total and the lone commit from the Peach State.
