Up 20-19 with less than 13 seconds in the first half, Portland (Ore.) IMG Academy four-star tight end Riley Williams didn’t have a lot of time to find the end zone. That was no issue for the Miami commit.

Williams caught a pass in the middle of the field and broke a tackle. He then sprinted ahead and raced untouched across the goal line for a touchdown before the clock reached tripled zeroes.

The 6-foot-6, 230 pound recruit is the No. 80 overall prospect and No. 2 tight end in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 16 player in Florida.

Williams committed to the Hurricanes on July 1. He is currently the fourth-highest-rated prospect in Miami’s 2023 recruiting class. The group ranks No. 9 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 2 in the ACC.

Williams has an On3 NIL Valuation of $130K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Riley Williams On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Riley Williams:

“Multi-functional tight end prospect that is a mismatch in the passing game. Possesses the prototype frame and build that should be physically ready to see the field in year one. Produced at a high level reeling in 36 catches for 889 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior. Has the ability to play as a true in-line Y, flex out in the slot or out wide as a receiver. Drives his legs on contact as a run blocker and looks to finish plays. Shows impressive twitch and the ability to separate as a route runner for someone his size. Uses his size to box out smaller defensive backs in contested catch situations. One of the best tight end talents in the country who could be primed for an early impact in college.”
