The No. 4 seeded Miami Hurricanes survived the No. 13 seeded Boston College Eagles in the ACC Tournament on Thursday afternoon in overtime, thanks to a game-winning layup with a 0.5 second on the clock by Jordan Miller. Miami stole a pass with six seconds left and Charlie Moore threw a transition pass to Miller, who got the layup to give the Hurricanes the win, 71-69.

Watch it below.

The Hurricanes had four players score in double digits in the win, Isaiah Wong, Jordan Miller, Charlie Moore, and Kameron McGusty. Boston College didn’t make it easy and Brevin Galloway nearly drained a half court heave at the end of regulation to win the game, but missed by a fraction of an inch. The Eagles also had four players score in double digits and they made it tough all afternoon long for the Hurricanes.

While Miami won the game, they nearly had their hearts ripped out at the end of regulation. Check out this unbelievable half court heave from Boston College’s Brevin Galloway.

It would have been one of the best game winners of the 2021-2022 college basketball season. He did have a teammate further down the floor who could have gotten a higher percentage look, but wow, what a shot. Miami is the ACC leader in steals and their defense proved to be critical in moments down the stretch at the end of the second half.

Miami advances to the ACC Semifinals vs. Duke

With the win, Miami advances to play the top-seeded Duke Blue Devils in the semifinals of the tournament. That game is slated to be played on Friday night at 7 PM EST. Miami defeated Duke 76-74 in their regular season matchup in Durham. Once again, the Hurricanes had four scorers in double-digits in that game, Isaiah Wong, Jordan Miller, Charlie Moore, and Kameron McGusty.
