3-star cornerback Eddie Pleasant commits to Michigan State
Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day cornerback Eddie Pleasant has committed to Michigan State, he announced Sunday afternoon on Twitter.
Pleasant is the No. 837 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 80 cornerback and the No. 128 junior in the state of Florida.
“I have dreamed of this moment since I was a child and now it is here,” Pleasant wrote in his announcement. “First, I want to give thanks to my lord and savior for blessing me with so much. None of this would be possible without him. Next I would like to thank my parents who have sacrificed so much for me to be in this position. I am so grateful and thankful for their endless support.

The 5-foot-11, 178-pounder chose Michigan State over offers from Florida State, Penn State, Tennessee, Iowa and more than a dozen other programs. He is the Spartans’ sixth commitment in the 2023 recruiting cycle. With Eddie Pleasant’s commitment, MSU moves up to No. 19 nationally in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
