Durant (Okla.) four-star defensive lineman Xadavien Sims has locked in an official visit with Michigan State. He’ll head to East Lansing on June 2.

The trip to Michigan State will be his fourth overall and third since March 14.

“I was looking at the defensive line working and coach Reynolds coaching them up,” Sims told Jason Killop of SpartanMag following his March 16 visit to Michigan State. “After that I sat down with him in his office. He was showing me pass rush moves and reaching me up. I learned a lot talking to him in that 30-45 minute talk.”

Sims is set to make his college decision on May 20. He’ll pick between Michigan State, Oklahoma, Oregon, TCU and Vanderbilt

The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder is the No. 200 overall prospect and No. 22 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Oklahoma.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Oregon is the heavy favorite to land Sims’ pledge with the Ducks sitting at 95.2%

“I really like the development they offer at my position there,” Sims said of the Ducks. “I really like coach (Dan) Lanning too. He’s got one of the biggest buyouts in college football, which tells me he plans on being there for a long time. He’s committed to Oregon.”

The official visit to Michigan State is the third official visit he’s locked in so far. TCU (June 16) and Vanderbilt (June 23) are the two other visits Sims has schedule so far.

Sims currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $70K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
