Class of 2024 IOL Jake Guarnera commits to Michigan

Three-star interior offensive lineman Jake Guarnera of Ponte Vedra Beach (FL) High announced his commitment to Michigan Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot-4, 290 pounder chose the Wolverines over Florida, Rutgers, Penn State and others.

“The level of football and education is unmatched,” Guarnera said. “Winning back to back Joe Moore Awards has never been done before and I’m looking to help win another one. The goal is a National Championship.”

“I am definitely closest with Coach Moore,” Guarnera said. “He has walked through his plan for me and they see me being a key piece of the offensive line at Center.”

“Luke, Ben, Andrew, Blake, and I have a great relationship. We live 14 hours away from each other and we are already clicking. We keep saying imagine how that would be when we are with each other each day.”

The Sunshine State interior offensive lineman joins coach Harbaugh and the Wolverines’ top 5 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star quarterback Jadyn Davis, four-star tight end Brady Prieskorn, and others.

Guarnera ranks as the No. 412 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 29 interior offensive lineman and the No. 60 player in the state of Florida.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $24K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
