Brandywine (Md.) Gwynn Park four-star EDGE Devon Baxter has announced his commitment to Michigan. He chose the Wolverines after taking an official visit to Ann Arbor on June 16.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder is the No. 418 overall prospect and No. 28 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 12 player in Maryland.

On3 rates Baxter higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2024 On300, Baxter is the No. 27 EDGE in the country and the No. 8 player in Maryland

“I’ve always looked at Michigan as a powerhouse team,” Baxter told EJ Holland of The Wolverine on April 18. “I don’t want to say it doesn’t impress me, but it’s kind of expected. They’re looking for the best of the best, and they’re going to develop them to the best of their capabilities. I want to go to the league, so I want to be pushed to be the best.”
